Research LAB

Culture and access to cultural heritage are not only social determinants of health and wellbeing but also factors of cohesion, emancipation, social justice, reconciliation, and economic growth. Nyanja Lab initiates and conducts multidisciplinary research projects exploring the interplay between access to cultural heritage and well-being. Our research informs on the social responsibilities that emerge once cultural heritage is created, managed, preserved, and transmitted. We also delve into what well-being and health truly mean across cultures and how access to cultural heritage impacts individual and societal wellbeing over time.

In addition to our research, Nyanja Lab organizes workshops, conferences, and training sessions to further explore these themes and promote understanding and development in this field.
